Our Campuses

With campuses in Alliance, Scottsbluff, and Sidney, Nebraska, plus options online, WNCC brings the classroom to you. No matter where you begin your education with WNCC, you can count on a support system of dedicated faculty and staff to welcome you with open arms.

Alliance Campus

The Alliance Campus was initially established as a nursing school in 1957. Though the campus was long ago integrated into the Western Nebraska Community College system, nursing remains a popular program in Alliance. But there is more! The Alliance Campus also offers a mix of on-campus and Zoom courses each semester, so you can attend classes that are being held concurrently in Scottsbluff or Sidney.

The Powerline & Construction Maintenance Technology program also routinely attracts a large number of students each year. The Powerline Lab and Indoor Training Facility gives students an opportunity to train in the classroom, outdoors, or in our Indoor Training Facility.

Scottsbluff Campus

Western Nebraska Community College has been serving the Nebraska Panhandle in Scottsbluff in some capacity since the 1920s. Nearly 100 years and two name changes later, WNCC’s commitment to western Nebraska and its student body remains strong today.

The Scottsbluff Campus is WNCC’s largest campus, complete with two residence halls, a dining hall, and is home to central administration and Cougar Athletics. In the fall of 2019, WNCC unveiled a $18.5 million campus renovation with updates to the Main Campus Building.

Sidney Campus

For over 50 years, WNCC’s Sidney Campus has made a positive impact in the southern Panhandle. The campus offers a wide selection of program offerings on campus and via Zoom, allowing students to attend classes that are being held concurrently in Scottsbluff or Alliance. Students on the Sidney Campus have the option of living on campus in apartment-style residence halls.

The Sidney Campus is home to the Aviation Maintenance program, the only FAA-approved program in the state of Nebraska. The program trains students to perform diagnostics on and repair aircraft, and is housed at the Sidney Municipal Airport.

The Sidney Campus is also home to WNCC's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center which serves as a business incubator for start-up businesses in the area. The program provides accepted applicants free office rent and utilities for two years, and a breadth of business resources.
