Program Overview

The CDL Truck Driving program is offered so students can complete the professional skill award in six weeks and then would be ready to take the test for industry certification and receive the CDL license. Industry has approved the curriculum and given full support for this program. The program is offered on our Sidney campus.

Topics covered include basic operation, driving techniques, and maneuvers and controls; maintenance and servicing; rules and regulations; driver awareness; cargo documentation; and hazards, public relations and international travel.

The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that in 2012, the median pay for Truck Drivers was $38,200 per year.
