How to Register - Returning or Transfer Students


   
A new "returning student or transfer student" is one who has taken college credit courses at any location.
Apply
Call 308-635-6010 or 800-348-4435, apply online, or visit one of our three locations. If you plan to seek a degree from WNCC, arrange to have your official high school transcripts sent to the Admissions Office.
 
Early Admission Scholarship
Submit college transcripts at time of admission. Students who have more than 12 credit hours and have at least a 2.80 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the early admission scholarship. To qualify, applicants must apply for admission and submit transcripts no later than November 1st for the spring semester, and March 1st for the fall semester.

High School or GED Transcript

Upon graduation or completion of high school/GED exam please provide official transcripts to the admissions office.

ALL College Transcripts

Provide official college transcripts from all previous colleges attended to the admissions office.

   
Submit ACT/SAT scores or schedule a time to take the eCompass test
If you have already completed English Composition 1 and College Algebra, you do not need to take the eCompass test.

The eCompass test must be taken if a student has not taken the ACT or the SAT, or has an ACT score below 24 in Math, 19 in Writing, and 18 in Reading, or an SAT score below 470 in Writing, 550 in Reading, and 560 in Math. To schedule a testing appointment, contact the Academic Advising Office at the appropriate campus or office. Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) at www. http://fafsa.ed.gov (WNCC school code: 002560)

If you have additional questions, please visit the WNCC Financial Aid website. Students must be seeking a WNCC degree to receive Financial Aid.
 
Scholarships
Complete the WNCC scholarship application. Priority deadline is November 1st for spring semester, and March 1st for fall semester. Late applications are accepted. http://fa.wncc.net
 

Housing

Complete the housing contract and submit the $150 deposit to secure a room. See more information at http://www.wncc.net/students/residencehall
 
Registration
Contact the appropriate campus or center for a registration appointment. Registration begins on November 9th for the spring semester and registration begins on April 10th for the summer and fall semesters. More registration information can be found at http://schedules.wncc.net
 
Books
Purchase books from the Cougar Bookstore during the week before classes start.
