Who We Are
The Western Nebraska Community College Foundation seeks to support and assist the important work of helping students and changing lives happening everyday at WNCC. The foundation is a separate, not-for-profit IRS approved 501(c)(3) corporation which provides financial assistance for the educational needs of WNCC that cannot be met through its traditional funding sources. The foundation is governed by a committed board of up to 24 community leaders that donate their time, talent, and resources to advancing the mission of WNCC and supporting its students, traditionally the underserved.
During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, net assets totaled over $3.7 million including endowments, investments, property, and other resources. Through a long-term and strategic approach, the Foundation provides local community members the opportunity to invest in and support the students at WNCC, spurring additional workforce development, economic development, and quality of life.
We hope you'll take a few minutes to learn more about the important work happening at the WNCC Foundation and how it supports WNCC, and ultimately our local Panhandle communities through enrichment, educational, and economic opportunities. Check out our most recent Annual Financial Statement, or download our current Fact sheet. Consider a tax-deductible contribution or commit to giving back through one of our many chances to volunteer. And most importantly, thank you!
The Foundation was pleased to host dozens of community leaders and business representatives in Alliance, Scottsbluff and Sidney to share the results of a Feasibility Study undertaken in 2014 as well as to provide an update and an opportunity for participants to provide feedback on WNCC's new Strategic Vision.
