Adult Education Instructor (Part-time)
Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Adult
Education Instructor in Alliance, Nebraska. This position will work up to 28 hours
per week. Hours will primarily occur in the evenings after 5 p.m., but there is the
opportunity to work some daytime hours. Flexible schedule.
Responsibilities: Responsible for accurate assessment (CASAS testing), instruction, and outcomes for
student performance. Take an active role in student data collection to include student
attendance hours. Actively participate in the registration, career pathways intake,
and orientation process for students. Plan and deliver high-quality, evidence-based
instruction. Effectively communicate to motivate and engage learners. Participate
in and contributes to program improvement efforts, curriculum development, evaluation,
and attend staff meetings as required. Assess the relevancy and impact of various
lessons; revise and improve lesson format; evaluate a variety of instructional material;
select books to be used for assigned instructional classes. Model an understanding
of diversity. Design instruction to build learners’ higher-order thinking, communication,
and problem-solving skills using instructional techniques that are effective with
adult learners.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience preferred or a combination of education,
experience, and certifications that demonstrates the candidate is capable of teaching

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor

time Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor at the Scottsbluff Campus.
Responsibilities: This faculty position will instruct in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training
program within the college; coordinate, manage, supervise, and perform a variety of
technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility; and monitor and assure
program compliance with laws, rules and regulations related to provision of the college’s
EMS training program and related services as provided through the Nebraska’s Department

Qualifications: Four years of increasingly responsible experience in EMS as a Paramedic, including

emergency care; and knowledge of current national curricula, national accreditation,
national registration, and the requirements for state certification or licensure.
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, bachelor’s

of, or ability to obtain, a valid Nebraska Paramedic license through the Nebraska
