The Common Data Set (CDS)

The Common Data Set (CDS) is a product of the Common Data Set Initiative that started as a collaborative effort among several data providers and publishers in the higher education community. The CDS is a set of standards and definitions of data items to improve the comparability of data reported across institutions and reduce the reporting burden on data providers. The Common Data Set allows colleges and universities to share a concise, yet extensive, set of information with guidebook publishers, higher education writers, and the interested public.

The CDS provides answers to many frequently asked questions at WNCC.  Please visit the link below to view the WNCC Common Data Set information.
