Reverse Transfer

Reverse Transfer

What is the Reverse Transfer program?

Reverse Transfer is a process where academic credits for course work completed at another community college or university are transferred back to Western Nebraska Community College to satisfy associate degree requirements. Some students transfer into four-year universities before completing their associate’s degree at the community college where they started. Through the Reverse Transfer program, these students’ achievements are recognized with an associate’s degree after they have transferred to another two-year or four-year school and have accumulated enough credits to fulfil the two-year degree requirements.

What are the benefits for me?

The associate’s degree is a marketable credential for your resume and an important milestone in your education. The associate’s degree is greatly valued by employers as evidence of your hard work and commitment to achieving your educational goals and expanding your knowledge. The associate degree can make a difference in your long-term professional growth and career success!

How do I participate?

All you need to do is to send your official transcripts from other schools and colleges to WNCC. If those credits meet the criteria for the program, you could get your associate’s degree or certificate saving both your time and money. Please download the application form, complete it, and send it to the Registrar’s Office.
