John N. Harms Center

The John N. Harms Center of Nebraska (HATC) was established to develop skills for the workplace, individuals, and employers through education with no boundaries in response to community and economic needs. As part of Western Nebraska Community College, we are devoted to progressive thinking, quality instruction, public service, and to promoting the success of a diverse community. Our vision is to be the premiere customer-driven, technology-based workforce skills improvement resource in our region. The Harms Center focuses on excellence and innovation in training a world-class workforce for rural America.

Annually, thousands of individuals around our region enroll in credit, non-credit, and customized courses or participate in numerous services we provide such as:

Courses and services are offered with flexibility of scheduling and delivery – just enough, just in time, and just for you!

Through the development of “Corporate Academies,” this unique model of training:

  • Promotes collaboration, coordination, and consolidation of training dollars
  • Reduces duplication of services
  • Expands training options
  • Fosters resource leveraging

  • Offer state-of-the-art technologies and top-notch instruction
  • Imagine future possibilities

Supporting the belief in an entrepreneurial renaissance for rural America, HATC:
