Scholarship for Success


Recipients of this Scholarship for Success receive $1,000 per year ($500 each semester), renewable for a total of two consecutive semesters. Recipients must apply for and be enrolled in one of the following programs of study:

  • Applied Agriculture Technologies
  • Art
  • Auto Body Technology
  • Automotive Technology
  • Aviation Maintenance
  • Biology/Ecology
  • Business Technology Medical Office Management
  • Chemistry
  • Chiropractic Medicine (Pre)
  • Computer Sciences (Pre)
  • Dentistry (Pre)
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Education (Elementary)
  • Education (Secondary)
  • Engineering (Pre)
  • Executive Assistant I and II
  • Foreign Language (Spanish)
  • Forestry/Wildlife Management (Pre)
  • Human Services
  • Information Technology
  • Information Technology - Cybersecurity
  • Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Medical Technology (Pre)
  • Medicine (Pre)
  • Pharmacy (Pre)
  • Physical Therapy (Pre)
  • Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology

Eligibility Criteria

Recipients must:

  • a U.S. citizen
  • enroll in 12 or more credits per semester
  • be a graduating high school senior or recent GED graduate within the past year
  • have a minimum 2.7 cumulative high school GPA and a minimum composite score of 20 on the ACT or 950 on the SAT to qualify (if student did not take the ACT or SAT, results of a Next-Generation placement test will be used to determine eligibility)

Applicants must:

  • request an official transcript to be sent directly from their high school or Department of Education to the Admissions Office
  • complete and submit the online WNCC Admissions Application

Recipients must have a cumulative GPA of 2.70 or higher and complete 70 percent of credits attempted during the first year to receive the award the second year.

The deadline for the Scholarship for Success is June 1 for a fall semester start and November 15 for a spring semester start.
