Plumbing

Entry Level Plumber Training is intended for students interested in entering the plumbing industry. The program is designed to help students get an entry-level job as a helper, or with a goal of being a plumbing apprentice.

Training Program

In the 96-hour program, students will learn and become oriented to:

The Plumbing Profession
Plumbing Safety
Tools of the Plumbing Trade
Plumbing Math
Plumbing Drawing
Plastic Pipe and Fittings
Copper Tube and Fittings
Cast Iron Pipe and Fittings
Steel Pipe and Fittings
Plumbing Fixtures
Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems
Water Distribution Systems

Complete a Construction Trades application.
Attend an orientation.
Tools – the required tools list will be provided at registration.

Electrical

Entry Level Electrical Training is intended for students interested in entering the electrical field to maintain electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The program is designed to help students get an entry-level job as a helper, or with a goal of becoming an electrical apprentice.

Training Program

In the 96-hour program, students will learn and become oriented to:

Safety for Electricians
Electrical Circuits
Electrical Theory
National Electrical Code
Device Boxes
Hand Bending Conduit
Wireways, Raceways, and Fittings
Conductors and Cables
Basic Electrical Construction Documents
Residential Wiring
Electrical Test Equipment

HVACR

Entry Level HVACR Training is intended for students interested in entering the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry and designed to help students get an entry level job as a helper or apprentice.

Training Program

In the program, students will learn and become oriented to:

Basic Principles of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Trade Regulations
Trade Mathematics
Basic Electricity
Fundamentals of Heating Systems
Fundamentals of Cooling and Refrigeration Cycles
Air Distribution Systems
Basic Copper and Plastic Piping Practices
Soldering and Brazing
Basic Carbon Steel Piping Practices
