Student Success Support Strategies

Early Alert Messaging

Student Success Center Staff work collaboratively with your faculty and other campus stakeholders to identify concerns and address them proactively. Students are always welcome to reach out with questions or concerns, but the Student Success Office works hard to reach out to the student as well if issues arise. Staff also check updates from Blackboard to help connect with students as soon as possible.

Encouraging Messaging and Support

In the same way, the Student Success Team will reach out to students and encourage positive progress and celebrate success along your journey to completion! If you are doing well in your classes, earning credentials, enjoying success in your activities, you can expect to hear from us!

WNCC Mobile App

WNCC utilizes a mobile app called “WNCC Mobile.” This app serves as a one-stop resources for classes, events and happenings around campus, access to your ClassLink and Blackboard pages, and much, much more! The app is compatible with iPhone and Android and can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play by searching “WNCC Mobile”.

Personalized Success Meetings

Campus Events and Initiatives

The Student Success Office partners with a wide variety of institutional stakeholders on events and programming to support your success. Check the events calendar on the WNCC website or the events tile in WNCC Mobile regularly to take advantage of the many opportunities to be engaged on campus and around the community!

Growth Mindset Program

The Growth Mindset program was designed to help students discover a more positive approach in stressful situations. Students within the program are guided by a mindset coach during their time at WNCC. When you participate in the Growth Mindset Program at WNCC, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Identify your own growth ideas and fixed ideas
Discover strategies for developing positive habits that contribute to a growth mindset.
Empower yourself to take control of your own education, career, and future.
Explore career possibilities.
Develop skills to not only survive college, but to thrive.
