Jerimiah Marchington Memorial Scholarship

Western Nebraska Community College is mourning the loss of alumnus, Jerimiah Marchington, class of 2019, who passed away from health complications on Friday, February 11. Jerimiah was a gentle soul who touched the lives of many at WNCC and throughout the community. He always wanted to help others. He did this through his involvement as a leader in student organizations such as TRIO, Lambda Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Student Veterans Organization, Cougar Council, and more. In the community he eagerly supported the Warrior Run, Buddy Check 22, the Monument Marathon, and was excited for his leadership position with the American Legion. Jerimiah was recently hired at Dana F. Cole & Company LLP, and one of the first things he did was to meet with the WNCC Foundation to plan for funding a scholarship for students who wanted to go back to school. He was passionate about eventually being able to give $1000 annually to a nontraditional student. To honor his memory and his desire to help others, we have created the Jerimiah Marchington Memorial Scholarship. Help realize Jerimiah’s dream by donating here or by contacting the WNCC Foundation at foundation@wncc.edu or 308-630-6550.
