Transfer Advising

Female teacher smiling at two studentsCollegeNOW! students should work with their high school counselor to find information from the college they plan to attend. This information should include the receiving institution’s policies on accepting specific classes from WNCC for transfer of credit. Students planning on attending schools other than WNCC must take the responsibility for notifying the receiving institutions of their plans and classes successfully completed from WNCC.

WNCC does have a transfer advisor who works with students and other institutions to coordinate the smooth transfer of credits. The transfer advisor is available to assist students who are planning to transfer to a four-year or other institutions. The transfer advisor can provide information regarding transfer procedures and deadlines, contact people at the receiving institution, applications, catalogs, and other general information. The transfer advisor can assist the student in selecting an institution and coursework necessary to transfer to that institution. It is strongly recommended that students meet with the transfer advisor as early as their first semester of enrollment at WNCC.
