Program Overview

The Business Technology Program prepares the student for entry-level to mid-level business technology positions. The curriculum is intended for students desiring to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. Program options included in the Business Technology AASStudents in a computer lab. are General Business, Medical Office Management and Information Technology Technical Support.

In the Business Technology program, you will have the opportunity to learn basic skills in areas of business, accounting, and information technology as a foundation for further studies. The program encourages students to participate in an internship that integrates theoretical concepts with practical experience.

All courses for this program are offered in person and online using Blackboard Collaborate, an online classroom where students can attend live online or watch recordings on their own schedule. Instructors have current industry experience, current certifications, and attend faculty development training to stay up-to-date with changes in business, medical office management and in information technology. Hands on labs, small class sizes, experienced and certified instructors provide real life learning.

Students can achieve industry accepted certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and Microsoft Office Specialist. Practice tests and certification exams are available free to qualified students.
