As we continue to grow as an institution, we do our best to keep our facilities and equipment in-line with those changes. In fact, we have big plans in store for our College based on our Master Facilities Plan. Check out some of the latest additions to our campuses.
Since 1969, the Main Building has been the heart of the Scottsbluff Campus. Following a facility condition assessment, we broke ground on a $17.33 million renovation that will change the face and efficiency of how our college serves the Panhandle. The renovation of the Main Building will feature the construction of a new Performing Arts Center, a new Learning Commons, and a new Student Success Center.
Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center
The Sidney Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center on the Sidney Campus provides accepted start-up businesses two years of free rent and utilities, as well as access to a full menu of resources at no cost. Accepted applicants into the Center agree to transition to a new or existing brick and mortar store front in the community.
Alliance Indoor Training Facility
This facility was developed as a result of our WNCC Foundation’s successful capital campaign. The indoor facility, which is equipped with 50-foot ceilings and dirt flooring to accommodate powerline poles, allows the Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology students to work indoors during inclement weather.
Pioneer Hall Addition
With views of the Scotts Bluff National Monument, residents of new Pioneer Hall Addition
on the Scottsbluff Campus can study in paradise. The residence hall accommodates 160
students and offers single and double room options.
In an attempt to alleviate a housing shortage in Sidney, we unveiled two campus housing units on the Sidney Campus. Each unit contains six apartment-style rooms, each equipped with a private bathroom. The common area includes a full kitchen with two refrigerators, a stove, dishwasher, and microwave. A couch, large screen TV with cable, and WiFi rounds out the space.
We welcomed a new era of learning to our science programs with the addition of the Science Labs on our Scottsbluff Campus. In addition to top-of-the-line laboratory equipment, the new space includes a lounge for our students to collaborate and learn together.
We’re proud to be an educational hub for both students and community. Throughout the year, we routinely rent-out or provide access to our facilities for non-political and enrichment purposes by the community.
