WNCC Art Instructor Featured in Governor's Residence Exhibit

WNCC

Western Nebraska Community College Art Instructor Yelena Khanevskaya is the featured artist for the month of November inside the Nebraska governor's residence.  The Nebraska Arts Council pronounced Khanevskaya one of 13 artists who are featured in the Governor's Residence Exhibition Program during the 2012-13 season. These contemporary Nebraska artists were selected via an open competition and review panel which convened in late June.  Khanevskaya's works are on display now through November 23, 2012.

The Nebraska Governor's Residence is located at 1425 H Street, in Lincoln. The residence is open for public tours on Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Groups visiting Nebraska's capital city may enjoy a guided tour of the home featuring this exhibition series, historical information, and memorabilia collected by Nebraska's first families.

Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more. Please call the residence at 402.471.3466 for more information or to make an appointment.

Nebraska resident artists are eligible for this program, which has an annual deadline for application on May 31.
