Western Nebraska Community College would like to congratulate Albino “Binny” Canales for his recent appointment as the head volleyball coach at WNCC and welcome him to our community. Canales brings with him 24 years of coaching experience including 21 years as a head coach.
He has performed with excellence and integrity in many divisions and levels ranging from NCAA Division I to NJCAA Division I. He has an overall record of 473 wins over 223 losses, and he has received numerous awards as well as induction into the Western New Mexico University Hall of Fame.
“My family and I are really excited about the move,” says Canales. “WNCC is one of the best junior colleges in the country, and everyone was so nice and helpful during my visit.” Canales will also serve in student advising. With fall practice beginning August 1, he plans to move to the area in the next few weeks.
