The Western Nebraska Community College Foundation is excited to announce that Valley Bank & Trust Co. is once again the title sponsor of the 2014 WNCC Foundation Fall Frolic 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run/Relay happening on October 18, 2014. Other major sponsors include Fremont Motors, Regional West Medical Center, Webb Orthodontics, and Print Broker.
WNCC Foundation Director and Race Director Jennifer Rogers commented, “Last year with the help of Valley Bank & Trust we were able to raise nearly $15,000 to support WNCC and its students at the Foundation Fall Frolic, which helped us to surpass our 2013 annual campaign goal.”
John Stinner, CEO of Valley Bank & Trust Co. stated, “Supporting higher education and training opportunities for Western Nebraska Community College students through the Foundation is a great investment, as so many of the students stay here in western Nebraska and contribute to our communities.” Those registering for the event before October 6 will be entered into a drawings for several locally donated prizes.
The family-friendly WNCC Foundation Fall Frolic, also featuring a Kids’ Fun Run with two age divisions, sponsored by Webb Orthodontics, will start and finish at the WNCC Scottsbluff campus the morning of October 18, 2014, as part of the “Celebrate WNCC 2014: Catch the Pride” homecoming celebration. The 5K and 10K combined start will be at 8:00 a.m., followed by 1 mile and 1K kids’ fun runs at 9:15 a.m. Other activities include bounce houses donated by Planet Bounce and a Fossil Display. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the costume contest.
