Roosevelt Elementary School celebrates 75 years of excellence with an open house on Sunday, October 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Events include cultural dancers, school tours, refreshments, and a Bouncy House sponsored by Platte Valley Bank.
The event will also feature a raffle drawing with items donated by Scottsbluff Board of Education and Superintendent, Scottsbluff High School Booster Club, Teachers’ Corner, Roosevelt Booster Club, Mike Husker, Avon, Twisted Bang Hair Salon, Rincon Latino, and Western Nebraska Community College.
“The purpose of the event is to celebrate the history and present happenings of Roosevelt Elementary School,” says Assistant Principal Robin Hoxworth. Silent auction proceeds will assist the Roosevelt Scholarship Fund, a scholarship for students who graduate Scottsbluff High School and who attended Roosevelt Elementary.
