The American Welding Society (AWS) has awarded the Welding Technology Program at Western Nebraska Community College as an Accredited Test Facility (ATF). This accreditation follows a careful inspection and questioning performed by an auditor from Houston.
“Becoming an Accredited Weld Test Facility through AWS means we can give Weld Qualification Tests to any welder, testing with any of the main weld processes,” explains Welding Instructor Dean Rindels. “The certification confirms that weld training at WNCC is done against a widely-recognized standard, and that the training facility has adequate welding booth room and proper design to train welders.”
