Ronda Kinsey Earns Nurse Educator Certification

WNCC

Western Nebraska Community College Nursing Program Instructor Ronda Kinsey recently attained designation as a Certified Nurse Educator. Eligibility for this distinction requires two full-time years of service as a nurse educator and completion of an exam with passing marks. Though voluntary, the certification demonstrates competency in the skills of a nurse educator.

Ronda has taught nursing at WNCC for five years including medical/surgical, pharmacology, and psych/mental health nursing courses. “One of the advantages of teaching at WNCC is that many of our students are first generation college students,” Ronda Kinsey says. “WNCC provides an opportunity to get a leg up on a career where they can be very gratified and financially secure. It feels good to be a part of that.”
