Competition was fierce for top honors for Western Nebraska Community College's fourth annual Art Exhibit. With 53 artists and nearly 160 pieces of artwork, the community had a wide range of pieces for which to cast a ballot.

The People's Choice Award winner was "Platte Valley Spring," an acrylic by Letisha Smith of Morrill. There was a three-way tie for Honorable Mention, including "Mud Fight," a photograph by Randy Henry of Scottsbluff; "Left Behind," a photograph on leather by Steve Sullivan of Alliance; and "Fashion Monster," a mixed media collage by Martin Vargas of Scottsbluff.

The Exhibit opened with an Artist's Reception and Business After Hours on October 22 at the John N. Harms Advanced Technology Center on the Scottsbluff Campus.
