The public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony inaugurating a significant
addition and renovation to Western Nebraska Community College's Pioneer Hall and Activity
Center. The ceremony occurs on Wednesday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Pioneer Hall, located
on the Scottsbluff campus, 1601 E. 27th Street.
Construction began in the summer of 2014 to bring about a new era of activity and
living for WNCC students.
Pioneer Hall offers affordable on-campus living. The tower features renovated rooms
and community bathrooms and lounges on each of the three floors. The new addition
offers double-room suites with a shared bath, as well as a lounge on each floor with
views of Scotts Bluff National Monument.
Pioneer Activity Center is the cornerstone of Pioneer Hall and offers a number of
amenities as well as and recreational space.
The Scottsbluff/Gering Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, members of the Western Community College Area Board of Governors, WNCC staff and faculty, and community friends and partners will attend.
Refreshments will be served in the foyer of Pioneer Hall immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony. Tours are available from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
