WNCC Theatre Presents 'The Glass Menagerie'

WNCC

Western Nebraska Community College is now selling tickets for its Theatre Arts fall performance, "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams, which will be held at the WNCC Little Theatre Nov. 18-20.

"The play is a memory play. It appeals to our sense of nostalgia, an attitude that I find to be very prevalent nowadays. We find ourselves wistfully dreaming about the past and inevitably we become disquieted or upset that we can't have things the way they were," says Director Robert Thompson Jr., theatre arts instructor. "My hope is that this play might assuage that sense of regret. The past may remain where it is, as if it were a delicate piece of glass to be safely protected within the comfort of our memory."

WNCC performs "The Glass Menagerie" in the WNCC Little Theatre Nov. 18 & 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.

Cast members include James Maag (TOM) and Jodell Schulte (AMANDA) of Scottsbluff, Brandy Mendoza (LAURA) of Gering; and Troy Jacobucci (JIM) of Las Vegas, Nev.

Tickets are $5 for the community and FREE for WNCC students, faculty, and staff. Show tickets are general seating and the box office opens one hour before each performance.  Doors open for seating 30 minutes prior to curtain in The WNCC Little Theatre.
