Western Nebraska Community College Vocal Music program, under the direction of Dr. Imgyu Kang, presents the Vocal Showcase Saturday, October 29 at the Midwest Theater in downtown Scottsbluff.
The annual event features the talents of Collegiate Chorale, Varsity Vocalise, soloists, and small ensembles such as Quintessence, Just Bluffin', and the newly formed a capella group Zeitgeist.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with cocktails and cupcakes in the lobby. The Showcase begins at 7:30 p.m.
This year's theme "Hope & Love" features familiar tunes such as "Never My Love," "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "I Love Rock and Roll", and "Holding Out for a Hero."
Dr. Kang and his singers are looking forward to performing this year's Showcase at the Midwest Theater. "My students and I are excited to share our vocal program to community members at the historic Midwest Theater which simulates a more true concert venue," he said.
