October 19, 2016 will mark the first college-wide online giving effort by the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation.
#BlueGoldGive begins October 19 and lasts through the end of Homecoming Week. WNCC will invite supporters from all over the country to join the college in celebrating its 90th Anniversary, and to plan for the future of WNCC students by making donations.
With social media challenges, special events, and real-time updates throughout the day, WNCC will encourage alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and other community members to show their pride with a gift to the college.
"#BlueGoldGive will help us to support students through emergency fund assistance, scholarships, and in our areas of greatest need," said Jennifer Rogers, WNCC Foundation executive director. "This week will make a difference in the lives of our students and the future of WNCC."
In addition to online giving, the community is encouraged to dine on October 19 from 5-7 pm at Cappuccino & Company, located at 1703 Broadway Street in Scottsbluff. Diners will have the opportunity to view several art pieces entered in this year's WNCC Art Gallery. Fifteen percent of all sales will be donated back to the Foundation.
