The Western Nebraska Community College Instrumental Music program will host its annual
Spring Band Concert Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. at the Midwest Theater in Scottsbluff.
The free event is open to all community members and will feature Western Nebraska
Winds - a group comprised of both WNCC students and community members. This year's
theme, European Treasures, means patrons can expect plenty of European-influenced
or European-based pieces. Norman Gonzales, WNCC adjunct instructor and flutist will
be featured throughout the concert.
"Norman brings a lot to the table and will be heavily involved in this year's Spring
Band Concert," said WNCC Instrumental Music Instructor Dr. Nathaniel Johnson. "This
will be a perfect chance for the community to listen to great music for an afternoon
at no cost."
Western Nebraska Winds is open to any WNCC student for course credit, or all interested
community members. For more information on Western Nebraska Winds or its upcoming
spring band concert, contact Johnson at johnsonn@wncc.edu.
