Registration open for Virtual Powerline Construction & Maintenance Open House

WNCC

ALLIANCE, Neb. - Western Nebraska Community College's Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology program not only allows students to receive hands on learning in an exciting field, but also puts them on the fast-track to a career following graduation.

The program is designed for graduates to immediately enter the workforce as an apprentice, the first step toward becoming a Journeyman Lineman.

This year's Open House for the Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology program will be held virtually, Oct. 14, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to any prospective student and their family who is interested in the powerline industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the Powerline instructors, current students, see pole climbing, a pole-top rescue, learn about the industry's outlook, and the Powerline Admissions process.

"The Powerline Construction & Maintenance Open House is always such an exciting event," said WNCC Admissions Director Gretchen Foster. "Unfortunately, we aren't able to host an in-person event this year, but the virtual open house will be filled with information and allow an inside look into the Powerline program."

To RSVP to the virtual open house, visit https://wncc-uga.edu.185r.net/Event/page2.php?e=6 Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the live open house.
