Information Technology Associate Director

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Information Technology Associate Director.

To perform a variety of complex technical duties in the installation and maintenance of computer network systems and personal computers.  To assist  the Information Technology (IT) Director in the administration of instructional activities and programs at the College through the investigation, evaluation, and implementation of information technologies, particularly those technologies involving distance education, multimedia, video-conferencing, and remote delivery; and to coordinate assigned activities with other college departments, divisions and outside agencies.  Assist the IT Director with providing oversight and guidance and serves as an integral member of the College’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Ellucian Colleague) team and assists with overseeing the implementation and operation of related and integrated technologies with the ERP system.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Database Management or a related field preferred.  Experience preferred:  two years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of modern computer and related peripheral equipment, experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, SQL Server, Linux, Cisco networking, Voice Over IP phone systems, Ellucian Colleague, previous Linux training, Cisco CCNA and Network+ certificates, and supervisory experience.  Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC’s vehicle insurance.
